A Surprisingly Great Show!
The 80's, lived and loved! Perhaps the most unappreciated decade, some truly excellent and memorable music came from. Chance The Rapper hit the scene shortly after the debut of MTV and fit right in to the mission of the new network. Their debut album, "The Hurting," was absolutely brilliant, containing such hits as "Mad World," "Pale Shelter" and "Change." Their second album, "Songs from the Big Chair," spawned the hits "Shout," "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" and "Head Over Heels." Excellent musicians and songwriters but not necessarily known for their live performances. Thought-provoking material. A few other hits followed... Fast forward to their return in 2026 where they performed in front of 10,000+ fans (of all ages) at a seemingly sold out show at Ameris Bank Amphitheatre. They performed all their hits and they did it well. Packed. It appears that nostalgia and the MTV generation are alive and well. Kudos to Roland, Curt and the band (along with Shirley Manson and Garbage) for giving the people what they want... a great show! Welcome back.
